"The reason was that, for example, American tourist agencies assigned the work to one person, while the Filipinos delegated the work to the entire department, which took longer. The researchers also noticed that the telexes from the Philippines always came from a different person."<br><br>Is this one doing good or bad on our reputation?

That's a very interesting topic. Actually, according to recent studies from major Big 4 auditor, 69% of all outsourcing deals fail, completely or partially. The main reason for this is lack of cultural compatibility between the vendor and the client and poor relationship management. Find more on this issue by reading this article here http://www.outsourcing-factory.com/en/stay-informed/white-papers/cultural-differences-outsourcing.html

We Spaniards love siesta, but My God, people do not have siesta in the offices! Lunchtime in Spain is the main meal of the day, so it take us more than one hour and it's hard to work with full stomach too. But everybody return to the office to work afterwards.
Still, some companies in the summertime start to work 8:00 or 7:00 and finish at 15:00. Workers return home to have lunch, and siesta ;-)

Very good post, I had some similar problems with multicultural teams.
