Telecommuting harms teamwork and we still don't have tools which would help much with that. Generally <a href="http://blog.brodzinski.com/2006/12/remote-workers.html" rel="nofollow">the list of issues which keeps me distanced from working remotely</a> outweighs the pros side. To be honest although we've made significant progress in limiting those issues I don't think the overall impact of telecommuting will change anytime soon.
